Greg Fives, PT, MSPT, SCS
                    Greg has been a physical therapist and educator for more than 15 years and                 
                
    worked for the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) from 1996 - 2011. He earned
                
    his Bachelor’s of Science in Health Science and a Master’s of Science in Physical
                
    Greg has achieved designation from American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties  
                
    of the American Physical Therapy Association as a Board Certified Specialist in Sports
Physical Therapy. Greg has served as an adjunct faculty member and instructor in the physical
therapy programs of Columbia University and Hunter College. He has lectured at numerous
conferences on assorted topics in orthopedics and sports medicine and has been published in
textbooks both nationally and internationally. His clinical and research interests are in conservative
and post-surgical rehabilitation of shoulder, knee, hip, ankle and elbow injuries as well as sports
biomechanics and movement science. Greg is excited to serve and provide the local community with
exceptional physical therapy services.

Heather Williams PT, DPT
                   Heather graduated from New York University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program in
                
   2001 and began her career at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) where she
                
   practiced for over eight years. At HSS Heather was the Assistant Section Manager of
                
   the Joint Mobility Center which focuses on patients with arthritis and joint replacement
surgery. She was also a member of the Sports Medicine Rehabilitation team and has extensive
experience treating sports and orthopaedic injuries. Heather has lectured on such topics as
managing the adolescent athlete, as well as treating and preventing running injuries. She has been a
competitive distance runner for over 20 years and has completed eight marathons. In 2010 Heather
was the winner of the inaugural Divas Half Marathon, Long Island Festival of Races 10k and in 2009
the Hamptons Half Marathon. As an undergraduate at Auburn University Heather was an NCAA
Division I athlete at Auburn University where she graduated with a B.S.in Zoology. She is co-author of
Runmetrics: A Runner's Guide to Plyometrics and Core Strength Training.  

Monica P. Schoeps, PT, DPT, Cert. MDT
                  Monica graduated in 1992 from SUNY Stony Brook with a BS in Physical Therapy.
                
  She is a New York State Licensed Physical Therapist since 1992. She received her
                
  Transitional Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2007 from Stony Brook’s School
                
  of Health, Technology and Management. Monica started her career working in an  
                
  acute care and short- term rehab facility, where she was a senior therapist. Monica
has been with Northport Physical Therapy since 1997. Over the years, Monica has taken many
continuing education courses in neurological rehabilitation, women’s health and manual therapy.  She
attended courses through the
McKenzie Institute and in 2004 became certified in Mechanical
Diagnosis and Treatment of the Spine there. Monica also has experience working with pre-natal and
post partum women in an orthopedic setting. She has been adjunct faculty and a teaching assistant
at accredited physical therapy programs and continues to supervise students in the clinical setting.
Through her two school age daughters and her own personal interests, Monica has become very
involved in the Northport/ East Northport Community through coaching softball and basketball,
running in local races- including the Cow Harbor 10K Run- and being involved in the local  
Community Theater as a musician.

Sean Umstead PT, DPT, ATC
                    Sean graduated from the University of Delaware's Doctor of Physical Therapy program  
                
    in January of 2006. He began his career working at New York Presbyterian Hospital  
               
     Weil Cornell (NYPH-WC) where he worked primarily with the Vascular and
                
    Cardiopulmonary teams for the first year. For the past 5 years, Sean was a Staff
                
    Physical Therapist in the  NYPH-WC outpatient spine center.  Sean is currently seeking
credentialing as a McKenzie MDT therapist and has taken course work with Maitland-Australian
Physiotherapy Seminars. As an undergraduate, Sean attended the Pennsylvania State University
where he earned a BS in Kinesiology with an Athletic Training focus. Sean became a Certified Athletic
Trainer (ATC) in 2003. While in graduate school, Sean worked as an athletic trainer for multiple high
schools and youth soccer clubs in the northern Delaware area. Clinically, Sean's primary focuses are
disorders of the spine, orthopedic and athletic injuries. Sean also has experience with neurological,
gait and balance disorders. Sean resides in Melville, with his wife Tara and their son, Connor.
